Yes. Class B awnings are typically compact cassette or roller units mounted to the van body rather than to a laminated RV sidewall, which means the mounting rail fasteners go into sheet metal and pull out more readily under wind load. We inspect the full assembly rather than only the fabric, check the mounting rail and reseal it, and verify the substrate behind it before refastening. Fabric replacement on these runs $400 to $1,200.
Do you repair the roof on Class B camper vans?
Yes, and roof work on a Class B is mostly about penetrations rather than membrane. The factory roof had no holes in it, and every fan, solar mount, antenna and vent was cut in by a converter whose sealing standards we cannot vouch for. Those cuts are the most common leak source on the platform. We reseal properly, meaning removing the unit and redoing the butyl rather than running a bead around the outside.
Can you upgrade the electrical system on my camper van conversion?
