Customer Stories
OCRV Center holds a 4.8 star average across 187 reviews from Long Beach area RV owners, fleet operators and mobile business owners. The accounts below describe specific repairs rather than general impressions.
We publish these because the specifics are what tells you something. Anybody can collect a rating. What is worth reading is whether a shop found the leak nobody else could locate, or whether the fleet stayed running while its units cycled through.
Backed our coach into a post at a campground and the front cap looked like a small crack. OCRV tore it down and found the impact had moved structure behind it, which explained why the entry door had started binding. They photographed everything for the insurance supplement and Progressive approved it without an argument. Sixteen weeks, but the coach came back straight.
Two shops told me the soft floor in our fifth wheel meant it was done. OCRV moisture mapped it, found the leak was a slide seal rather than the roof everyone assumed, and rebuilt the floor structure. They also showed me the wet area was three times bigger than the soft spot, which explained why the last patch failed.
We run last mile out of the port and OCRV handles our rear corner and sliding door work. What matters to us is that they stagger the units so we are never down more than two at a time, and they keep our paint formula on file so the fleet still matches. Third year with them.
Someone hit our converted Sprinter in a lot. The body shop our insurer suggested would not touch it once they saw the house electrical and the solar. OCRV opened it up, documented what the converter had built, repaired the unibody properly and recalibrated the driver assist. They also flagged undersized cable the converter had used, which we had them fix.
Side impact took out our serving window, the graphics and knocked the flat top loose. Four vendors quoted me and every one of them only did part of it. OCRV did all of it, mounted the equipment properly instead of the way the kitchen company had it, and got us back in eighteen days. We only missed two weekends.
The cabover on our Class C had been leaking for years and we had no idea. They found rot in the framing under the bed platform, rebuilt it as structure rather than just replacing the floor, and fixed the joint seal that caused it. They also told me plainly which of the other things I asked about were not worth doing.
What These Have in Common
Reading back through these, a pattern shows up that we did not curate for. In most of them, the problem the customer arrived with was not the problem that needed solving.
A front cap crack turned out to be structure that had moved, which explained a binding door nobody had connected to the impact. A soft floor two other shops called terminal turned out to be a slide seal rather than the roof everyone assumed, which is why a previous roof reseal had not helped. A conversion the network shop declined turned out to have undersized cable the original converter had used, discovered only because someone opened the panels.
That gap between the reported symptom and the actual cause is the single most consistent feature of this work, and it is why we tear down before quoting rather than after.
Why We Publish Specifics
A star rating tells you almost nothing. Anybody can accumulate one, and the average across a few hundred reviews mostly measures whether a business is competent at customer service rather than whether it is competent at the work.
What tells you something is whether a shop found the leak nobody else could locate, whether the fleet stayed running while its units cycled through, and whether the timeline the shop quoted at the start turned out to be the timeline.
We ask customers to describe the actual repair for that reason. It is less flattering than a generic endorsement and considerably more useful to the next person deciding where to take a coach.
The Reviews That Are Not Here
Not every job goes perfectly. Timelines slip when a supplement sits with a carrier for three weeks or when a discontinued part turns out to be genuinely unavailable rather than merely backordered.
What we can control is telling you when that happens rather than letting you find out by calling. If a date changes, you hear it from us. That is the commitment, and it is a more honest one than promising nothing will ever go wrong on a sixteen week structural rebuild.
Reviews are also published on our Google Business Profile and Yelp.
