Who We Serve

Working With Insurance Adjusters and Carriers

About 6 min left

OCRV Center provides adjusters and carriers with documented estimates, photographic supplements tied to the original loss, structural measurement records and clear scope separation between loss related work and pre existing condition. That documentation is what makes RV and specialty vehicle claims resolvable.

Adjusters handling recreational vehicle and specialty claims face a specific problem: the visible damage bears little relationship to the actual scope, and shops frequently submit supplements that are essentially requests to trust them.

We approach it from the other side. Every hidden item is photographed as it is uncovered, tied to the original impact with stated reasoning, and separated from anything we found that was pre existing.

What We Supply on Every Claim

Teardown photographs of every hidden damage item as it is uncovered, with the reasoning for why it is loss related. Structural measurement records before and after correction. Moisture readings where water intrusion is part of the claim. Parts availability documentation where lead time affects the timeline.

We also separate pre existing condition explicitly. A coach with prior delamination that also took a collision has two different situations, and conflating them serves nobody.

Why RV Supplements Are Different

On a passenger vehicle, an experienced adjuster can estimate hidden damage reasonably well from visible damage, because the construction is standardized and well documented.

On a recreational vehicle the fiberglass cap hides the structure, the laminated wall hides the substrate, and no manufacturer published body dimensions. Photo based estimates on this equipment are not underwritten, they are structurally unable to see what is there.

Problems We Hear Most, and What We Do About Them

The shop supplement is a request for more money with no supporting evidence.

Every supplemental item arrives photographed as uncovered, with a written statement of why it is loss related rather than pre existing.

We cannot tell what is collision damage and what was already wrong.

Pre existing condition is documented and reported separately from loss related scope on every estimate we write.

Structural repairs have no verification that the correction actually held.

Before and after dimensional records are supplied on every structural job, taken after the rams release and the steel relaxes.

Timeline estimates from RV shops are consistently wrong.

We verify parts availability during the estimate and supply lead time documentation, so the timeline reflects reality rather than optimism.

Frequently Asked Questions

What documentation do you provide on supplements?

Photographs of every hidden damage item taken as it is uncovered during teardown, with a written statement of why each item is loss related rather than pre existing. On structural work we supply before and after dimensional measurement records. On water intrusion claims we supply moisture readings mapped across a grid. Where parts lead time affects the timeline we document that as well.

Do you separate pre existing condition from loss related damage?

Yes, explicitly, on every estimate. A coach with prior delamination that also took a collision has two distinct situations, and conflating them serves nobody. We document what we find, state which is attributable to the loss and which is not, and let you make the coverage determination with accurate information rather than an inflated single scope.

Why do RV estimates always require supplements?

Because the visible damage on a recreational vehicle bears little relationship to the actual scope. The fiberglass cap hides the structure, the laminated sidewall hides the substrate, and most manufacturers never published body dimensions. A photo based estimate on this equipment is not underwritten, it is structurally unable to see what is behind the skin. Teardown is what reveals the actual scope, and the supplement reflects that.

Do you accept carrier negotiated labor rates?

Yes, and we tell the vehicle owner upfront when insurance billed work is written at rates that differ from our posted retail rates, so there are no surprises on either side. We bill direct to Progressive, GEICO, State Farm, AAA SoCal, Mercury, Allstate, American Family, Wawanesa, National General, CSAA, Foremost, Liberty Mutual, Tesla, Cincinnati, AGWS and others.
