Technical Author

Marcus Delgado

Shop Foreman and Lead Estimator, OCRV Center

Marcus Delgado runs the estimating desk and the production floor at OCRV Center. He has spent 22 years in heavy collision and recreational vehicle repair, starting on frame racks in commercial truck shops before moving into motorhome structural and fiberglass work. He writes the technical library on this site because most of what RV and fleet owners find online is either a parts catalog or a sales pitch, and neither one tells you what actually happens to your vehicle once it is on the rack.

Credentials and Experience

  • I-CAR Platinum, ASE Certified, RVIA Trained
  • 22 years in heavy collision and recreational vehicle repair
  • Began on frame racks in commercial truck shops before moving into motorhome structural and fiberglass work
  • Currently runs both the estimating desk and the production floor at OCRV Center, which means he writes the estimate and then watches whether it survived teardown

Why This Library Exists

Most of what an RV or fleet owner finds when they search for a repair problem falls into two categories. It is either a parts catalog trying to sell a component, or a shop marketing page that describes a service without ever explaining what happens to the vehicle.

Neither one helps somebody trying to understand whether the soft spot in their floor is a $2,000 problem or a $12,000 problem, or whether their insurance adjuster is being reasonable.

Everything on this site is written from the estimating desk and the shop floor. When an article says a supplement is normal, that is because we file them weekly. When it says most slide failures are structural rather than mechanical, that is from measuring rooms that would not seal. Where the honest answer is that a repair is not worth doing, the article says that too.

Editorial Standard

Every technical article is written from direct shop experience with the specific platform or system it covers. Price ranges reflect actual jobs performed here rather than industry averages copied from elsewhere. Where a topic sits outside our scope, such as engine work or hydraulic certification, the article says so rather than speculating.

Articles are reviewed and updated when procedures change, parts availability shifts, or something we wrote turns out to be less true than we thought. The last updated date on each article is real.
